Welcome to Dreamcatcher
Adults with disability have to overcome many challenges in life. Ignorance shouldn’t be one of them. At Dreamcatcher we work with the people not disabilities.
Providing support for adults with a disability can be a complex process. It can require patience, expertise and long hours. It can also be hugely rewarding and inspiring. At Dreamcatcher we believe that the support we provide for adults with a disability should always be person-centred. So we assess needs, find solutions and discuss options. But at the heart of everything we put the person, not the disability, first.
Having fun, and creating a safe place to try new things.
Helping to raise each person’s expectations and potential
Working with adults with disability
Dreamcatcher have years of experience of supporting adults with a disability in the North East. So we know that there are many ways in which disability can affect lives. We know that each person with disability responds to different levels of support. Dreamcatcher specialise in working with people with learning disabilities and complex physical disabilities.
Dreamcatcher provide care at home, specialised care home support and respite/short breaks for adults with a disability and their families.
There’s so much you can do to help Dreamcatcher help people. And we hope it will be rewarding for you too. Everyone plays their part in providing care. Equally important are the volunteers who give their time to a huge number of projects. If you are interested in working for Dreamcatcher why not find out what our staff say about working here.
